Club Automobile Francais
A car club for French Car Enthusiasts
Bonjour fellow French car enthusiasts,
Why not become a member of Club Automobile Francais SA. The Club was formed in 1988 by a bunch of French car enthusiasts and today has over fifty active members. They represent the various French car marques of past and present.
Members meet regularly on the last Thursday of each month for a ‘Club Night’. These meetings offer the opportunity to meet like-minded club members with an interest in all things French, French vehicles as well as the exchange of valuable technical, service and practical advice on the repairs and restoration of your car.
The ‘Club Night’ also offers the opportunity to hear presentations from guest speakers who cover a wide spectrum of interesting subjects, not always car or French flavoured!
Through the year the Club organises a number of Club events such as vehicle displays, car runs, barbecues and lunches. The Club hold a very successful annual swap meet and of course, we celebrate Bastille Day (14th July) with a Club dinner.
Club members have access to a monthly Club magazine, The French Connection and through the Club there is access also to our library (which includes club magazines from other French car clubs around Australia) of technical service and parts books and catalogues as well as some specialised tools.
French vehicles that are over thirty (30) years old are eligible for concessional registration through the Club. This allows you to register your vehicle at a much reduced rate (conditions apply).
Club Meetings are held at the Austin 7 Club Rooms, 262, Tapleys Hill Road, Seaton. South Australia (see map on the ‘Contact Us’ page), 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
Everyone is encouraged to come and join us at the next meeting.
